The cables are definitely long enough. I considered that idea but I'm not sure they can be squeezed into the gaps in the door cards as there doesn't seem to be enough of a recess where the sections meet. I also didn't want the hassle of taking all the door cards off, plus it could be tricky to...

    Quick settings swipe down menu

Hi everyone, Just noticed this shortcut to some settings accessed by swiping down from the top left or right of the home screen. Maybe I was being a bit slow on the uptake but I've only just noticed this quick way to turn things like the mobile wifi hot-spot on and adjust the screen...

The one I fitted always starts with the multicolour animation. There are other versions which just come straight on with a colour I seem to recall from when I was looking into them. I know what you mean about the startup animation, it's not for everyone but I like it as it makes a bit of a show...

There is a single clip holding it in the centre which pulls out if you pop the pin in the centre out. Then the kick panel clips out from the front (closest to drivers seat) first. The panel takes a decent pull but it will pop out if you get your fingers under the bottom edge.

TBH, that is the trickiest part. If you remove the kick panel beind the centre console - next to the drivers footrest, you can just about reach in to pull the plug from the back of the 12v socket. The wires are short so it's quite tricky to tap into them but it is doable. If you are worried...

    LED ambient lighting

Hi all, I thought I would post some details of my ambient lighting upgrade. I found the MG4 interior a bit dull without any ambient lighting, especially at night. This is the link to the kit I bought on Amazon: Led ambient lights It was pretty straight forward to fit the kit as I decided...

Hi, yep - this is the set I bought: Led ambient lights It was pretty straight forward to fit as I decided to go with one on the dash and then 1 above each of the four doors. I powered it by tapping into the rear of the 12v accessory socket in the centre console. They do a cool animation when...

I know what you mean, I think one of the nicest things to come from driving EV's is to appreciate having to stop more often on long journeys, having a nice cup of coffee while charging and most importantly losing the 'must press on and get there as soon as possible' mentality.

It does indeed, 250 to 270 would be my estimate but having had EV's for the last 7 years I always ensure to leave plenty in reserve wherever possible. I tend to bank on 200 miles between stops to ensure I can always skip to the next one if its broken - this also means I can sit comfortably in...

I used Meguiars Ultimate Compound on a soft to medium polishing pad on my Ryobi machine polisher. The compound is great on all surfaces as it is not too harsh. You simply need to keep making passes until you are happy with the finish. It's almost foolproof in my opinion and crucially does not...

Found the chargeplace Scotland network up there to be superb. The chargers were placed in all the key locations and far more regularly than required with the MG4's range (easily 200+ non-motorway miles between charges in current conditions). Worthwhile ordering the contactless card would be my...

Here's mine, I absolutely love it. Just returned from completing the NC500 in Scotland (over 1500 miles) and it was absolutely flawless. A few mods so far, had to remove the wheel covers - they look 'okay' when clean but they start to stand out as plastic trims when they get dirty in my opinion...
