Is my order a 'distance selling' order?

Just a small tip-run trailer and a bike rack. A fixed tow bar, if you could get one, would obscure the fog light, which would be an MOT fail. I don't want a removable one, it's another dirty job to do/ key to lose/ knackered hip to bend.

Is my order a 'distance selling' order?

Thanks for that, siteguru. It's not really the money that bothers me. I was only going to put a bit to it and buy a kilogramme of tomatoes and a cucumber! What bothers me is that the requirement for a tow bar was always front and central as a required feature of the car. I think I even wrote to...

Is my order a 'distance selling' order?

Hi everyone, I need your take on whether my order qualifies as a distance sale or not, please. I had a call from my dealer yesterday to tell me my order (Grey MG4 SE LR) is with them and ready for collection. A few weeks ago, when it became apparent that I wouldn't be able to have a tow bar...

Cancel MG4 Trophy and go for Megane E-Tech?

So, have I got this right? For a trophy over four years £391x48=£18,768 Plus £5,000 deposit=£23,768. Call it £24,000 if it's actually 49 payments. You're allowed to drive 6,000 miles a year which, by coincidence, is 24,000 miles. That's a pound a mile. How is that cheap motoring? Oh, and you...

The best way to cancel and get back my deposit?

If you cancel, they'll be able to sell at this year's price. In other words, they'll make a thousand pounds extra on the sale. Unless they want to take the £1000 and your deposit of course... I'd be interested to know how you get on.

    Tow bar

Hi Rip Van (and Les), Thanks for your comments. I'd been imagining one of those loose-fitting tow balls held on place with a 'P clip'. As for a Witter type removable hitch, my days of scrambling about at the back of a car are long gone! It'd also be another key to lose! Cheers

    Tow bar

Thanks for that, Les. Looks like I'll be cancelling my car.😔 I need a rigid tow ball as I use a clamp-on bike rack which would swing about on one of those removable pins. I wonder if anyone needs a grey SE LR due for delivery 16 to 18 weeks after the end of October 22? At October 22 price...

    Tow bar

Hi Les, Any chance you can measure the centre to floor height of your fog light, please? I've just looked at the 'standard' which is that a tow hitch should be between 350 and 420mm. Not got my grey self, yet. This may be a deal-breaker. Cheers

    Boot bike rack - recommendations

I've had every type of bike carrier in my time (and mean every type) and, without doubt, the best has been my current Thule clamp-on one. It's brilliant but expensive. If you're going to keep the car and can afford it, go for a tow bar mounted one.

    V2L Test. 7kW output...

Yep, somewhere around that. And about 90% discharge efficiency. They don't tell you that when they're selling you a solar PV system! Still works out way cheaper to charge at night then discharge during the day.

    V2L Test. 7kW output...

Not done v2l but I can say that my solar PV home inverter/batteries lose about 10% of electricity when squirting into the batteries from the grid and 10% when sending to my home.
