UPDATE 3 days later and down to 35% battery the Vehicle Control System fault has cleared itself and it now charges😵‍💫😆 ITS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE 🎄😅

I can survive til after christmas with this😅 energy saver and cruise control 😅

I just found a helpline to call for the leasing company, I will phone them and see what they advise. Thank you for your help

Okay thank you, this is so helpful🙂, one thing i need to ask, its a lease car through my workplace, i believe the dealership that delivered it was Greenhous but we also have a MG dealership in my town. Would i be taking it to Greenhous or MG?

Can you just drive there and speak to them or do you have to book an appointment or something?

Ive tried disconnecting the 12V battery for 30 mins but fault didn't clear. Powering down and rebooting also doesn't work. Tried to charge while locked, charge while unlocked, tried manually pressing start charge - none of them get it to charge. My final hope is my granny cable when I get home...

Thats a different issue, i can drive the car without issues it just wont charge and has vehicle control system amber fault

Hi all, Hope this post is okay. I've had an MG4 SE for a month now with now 650 miles on the ODO, i left my car on charge overnight at my workplace, like I do most shifts but when i got in the car to leave work yesterday i drove about 5 miles before an amber "Vehicle Control System fault"...
