You should always do what works for you. IMO I easily get 30-40 miles and most definitely 3 miles / kWh. Local roads and careful driving can push it to 4ish but its not an EV and its not small. Good luck
My car is currently at 19k miles with a signification bit in EV mode. Dropping kids off to school, picking them up and then going to tennis a few times a week is all done in EV mode. That said we have had few long distance journeys.

@Matty regarding 1, I have replicated this issue multiple times. If you are down downhill for a while the car exits EV mode. My initial guess was something to do with increase of speed while going downhill causing it to exit but since then I have managed reproduce it while actively braking...
Parking brakes not releasing only happens when I am moving the car and can't be bothered with seat belt. It refuses to auto disengage. Have to manually release them each time
Whilst my original question to them was suggesting software update, from my usage, the design of braking system on HS Phev is significantly different from other EVs and PHEVs. The system tends to use both simultaneously and while software can fix many things, it cannot change hardware design...
18k miles, 16 months that is the 1st time I am hearing of this sort of behaviour.
Starting issues could be related to 12V battery but can't think of anything that would cause it to not shut down
With wireless CarPlay / Carlinkit, there is a separate volume for guidance which somehow isn't there when I used wired CarPlay.
I tend to wait for it to start a guidance and I turn it up.. once guidance finishes, I reduce the volume - which then reduce the audio system's volume.
nah there is always a buffer and you can use the car like a normal Petrol car however it won't be as smooth as the hybrid gearbox relies on some EV gears. That said I have driven it a few times without any charge at all.
I think this is a general design constraint with brakes itself. Most plug-in and all EV have braking which pushes for max regen before friction brakes come in.
HS Phev brakes however do not. I mentioned this in my original gripe which was sent to MG and they said different design / won't fix
lol too much hassle. Mine comes on a 21:29 and that's when I have Alexa reminder. I plug it in and works 9 of 10 times :P I have another car to plug in too..
They were honest about it.. they said that they will test it when they get around to it. I had total loss of power earlier this year but a straight restart fixed it - maybe it was in wrong gear or something. Otherwise it has been good. Now that I am used to it, it doesn't annoy me as much -...
