@PFCWales - I couldn't agree more. Fantastically well put. I miss the times when Britain was known for its 'mustn't grumble' attitude. Sure, there are genuine times when we should complain, but it seems that the modern attitude is too often to moan about things instead of appreciating the...
@Dirk - For what it's worth, my car's infotainment was upgraded from R46 to R62 last week. Since then (because of roadworks) I've gone past a 'national speed limit' sign (white with black cross) 4 times (I normally don't go past one). Each time I've checked to see what my car says. Every time it...
@smeagme - In case it is helpful, I bought 'official' car mats (MG part number SAC1200208) from an MG dealer. Cost me £70.
Here's a picture of someone else (lillipopman) who clearly has official mats too, so you can see what they look like in his car:
For more of his advice/feedback see here...
@Beng30 - Sounds great - well done! I guess there must have been a 'refresh' model released, with those new features.
Just to be clear, do you have an MG HS PHEV Trophy, that looks the same as the picture in my avatar?
@Bob A - If you still get that 'Service Vehicle Immediately' warning you can easily fix it yourself. It came after 9,000 miles for me too (specifically, it comes after 15,000 kilometres).
Here's the fix: How to reset service interval (remove 'Service Vehicle Immediately' warning)
Don't forget...
Update: Two days ago my local dealer upgraded my car from R46 to R62:
This fixed the star button problem :)
However, (initially) the ACC still didn't work. Then I noticed that (silly me) I had not enabled ACC in the infotainment menu (labelled 'MG Pilot').
In other words, what had happened...
@Gez1888 - Funnily enough, I got mine updated (to what I assume is the latest version) 2 days ago. Specifically, the MG dealer did this to fix the 'star' button problem.
They upgraded from R46 to R62
@Herandnu I got my one (Masterplug EV Charging Cable, 5 Metres, Mode 2, 3 Pin UK Plug to Type 2 Car Charger, 2.4kW, EVCM221005) from Amazon.
More details on why I chose that one here: About to take the plunge and get the HS 2025 PHEV
@Gez1888 - That link will take you to my suggestions of...
@Dunkie59 - Glad your first service was a success :)
For the record, I took my car for its first service about 3 weeks ago. At the time it was on R46, and the star keys did not work, but the ACC did work perfectly.
So I asked them to try to fix the star keys. They tried to update some firmware...
@ICTFC This forum is for the HS PHEV car model. You have a different car. I suggest you post the question in the ZS EV forum (MG ZS EV Forum) where you will be able to connect to people who have your car..
@jackbelg - Do not trust the readouts on the car's display, relating to petrol MPG or petrol range. They are incredibly misleading/inaccurate.
If you want to know how much petrol you have left, you can only trust the gauge (the line underneath where it shows the petrol range).
If you want to...
No, it does not close. It simply beeps (3 times I think, from my memory) for me too.
I have a feeling that it does not open if the doors are unlocked, so maybe it does not close either when it is unlocked either. So perhaps worth you trying to close the boot (with your feet) when the doors are...
Agreed - the recent cold weather will be triggering low pressure warnings. I got a warning too as soon as it got cold this year.
Yes there is a way of checking them. Instructions are here: Tyre pressures
As for what the correct pressures are, you can easily find them by opening the driver's...
