If going up a hill, do not use Cruise control. And before applying Cruise control bring the car up to the required speed then initiate Cruise control and you will find it not so harsh. If/when the over rev is heard take your foot of the accelerator slightly for a sec.

I have had my MGZS+Hybrid for 6 months now also. I haven't had any problems. I do occasionally get the slight over revving, mainly when I'm in cruise control trying to get to a high speed. Otherwise no problems.

Mine runs perfectly most of the time but now and again on hills I get rev sounds. It's very short lived but not very nice.

Exactly the same as you PCO. Bought my car Dec24 I have had occasional high revs although not as high as you had. It would be interesting to see if the update works.

Hi Melvyn. Which Wireless-CarPlay adaptor do you use. I've tried a few and been unsuccessful.

I've had no such update. I do get some over revving but it neither affects the drive generally or overtaking. I have never lost power and the car overtakes promptly and smoothly. Long may it continue.

It sounds like your sat nav needs to be updated or re-set.
