    Jump starter for electric car?

Your next question will probably be what has everyone else bought? I went for a NOCO as it's a well known brand and I've found it will last well over 3 months without requiring a top up charge. The only time I've used it is to start a friends diesel Fiesta before I persuaded her that she really...

    Jump starter for electric car?

You just need a basic one. It doesn't have to turn a starter motor over just to provide enough power to bring the main traction battery back on line.

Replacement 12V auxiliary battery for MGS5

You don't need to turn the car off, and yes it could be an over reaction, but it's better than the alternative.

    Insurance for the MGS5

Looks like I'm staying with my current insurer, Aviva Zero. Everyone else is at least £40 more for the same cover and excess.

    Insurance for the MGS5

It's insurance time again. The renewal notice has just come through and it's £9 more than last year so not bad but I'm still going to spend half-an-hour going on a couple of comparison sites.

The naming of cars...... Have you?

It's not something I've ever done although my mate does especially his motorbikes. He has names for his BSA C15, Triumph 900 Sprint, KTM and Vincent Rapide as well as his HY van but not for his daily driver, a Jaguar XJ

    Recurring motor fault with MGS5

I wonder if MG uses a different grade of oil in the drive unit in Australia due to it being quite a bit warmer than the UK. Here's the UK specs

    Front USB ports

Does the dash-cam work without the add-on cabin camera attached? I have the 322GW powered from the rear view mirror USB and on its own it works OK but when I attach the add-on rear camera the rear camera doesn't work. I suspect the USB socket hasn't enough power to use both.

Great day out with your MG? Post up a picture ?

@securespark Carsington is just up the road from me. I have ridden around it a few times in the past. There are some good pubs around there including one of my favourites The Barley Mow at Kirk Ireton. Built as a farmhouse in 1640 and became a licensed pub in 1750. It used to serve beer...

Possible VAT reduction on public charging to 5%

The operators will follow the example set by the petrol stations when the price of oil goes down i.e. nothing.

    Software wishlist

I wouldn't use ACC unless I was on a dual carriage way or motorway as it's not designed for single carriageway roads with parked vehicles.

    Rear light misting both sided

Correct. There will be ventilation holes in the housing to let the moisture out. It is a lot worse on the MG4 Trophys with their much larger light bar.

Rear collision warning (flashing hazard lights) triggering by snow/ice?

It is a warning to the vehicles behind that they are approaching too quickly. Vehicles passing in an adjacent lane will also set the hazards off.
