Just ordered one of these.for that very use case.
Yeah although the charger (or dispenser as the manufacturer calls it) look like a full direct power charger it can distribute up to 300kW to any one at a time. It has half a mega watt hour battery storage in the central unit.

It seems a really weird decision from them or rather from Musk. I can only assume cost cutting for a while but this is part of what makes them successful. I expect their reliability to be affected going forwards.
