Wear on Front Tyres at 5500 miles

Is this a dealer 'upselling'? Mine sends a sweet little video, with commentary. Last one, 3rd service 20 odd thousand miles... though I might like to change the front tyres at 4mm (even wear) at a rather expensive price... and there were signs of rust on the back brakes such that I might like...

Please please please MG give us CarPlay Ultra!

I learnt the ways of the compatible cable via my previous car, a VW Polo.... very ficky and would only work using a certain brand of cable... I didn't leave it in the Polo and it works fine in the 5LR. It lives in the car as I can't remember the brand now...

"12 volt battery charge low avoid parking for more than 3 days" message

I had something similar last week... A year ago, my 22 plate 5LR wouldn't unlock, due to a low 12v battery, diagnosed by the AA who I called out. He 'jump-started' thhe car and said to monitor it and call him if it played up again. He alos recommended buying a jump pack to keep in the glove box...

Public rapid charging prices trending down ?

That's how the e-mail reads to me... as a come hither for the Winchester Superhub... get it's name in lights as anyone heading that way normally has a strategy for getting the length of the A34. There was a discount while charging at Gridserve when they launched their app, but nothing since...

    VOTE TESLA SUPERCHARGES with MG5

I, finally, have the EVCC info from my PFL 5LR, which show it to be 11268368. This, from my understanding, can't be software updated, and would need a new EVCC. The quoted cost of £680, which wouldn't be recouped over the life of the car, finished any interest I had in using Tesla charging...

    VOTE TESLA SUPERCHARGES with MG5

Hi Les, Current mileage is 23,500, the discs and pads were advisory, quoted at around £700 but as the wear on the pads was minimal, I think it's reflection on the rear brakes not getting much use. The rear tyres also had very little wear from new. I think the fronts have only gone down a...

    VOTE TESLA SUPERCHARGES with MG5

Service done... having explained what I wanted, I ended up with a note on my invoice saying 'carry out Teslacharger update - quoted £680. No one available to explain how they came to this figure. Last dealer service and mot done. I'll whip the battery out to confirm the EVCC number, but at...

Buying a three year old MG5.....

Yup! I have a 2022 Long range that saved me when the van in front didn't have any brake lights... Go to youtube and look at some of the |James and Kate videos... I'm on 22,000 miles, 22 plate and no problems to report... It's like owning a Passat, with batteries instead of an engine...
