Just got my car back from MG and they seem to have fixed it. As of right now it also seems that the warranty is covering it.

You are only allowed to use the software as you wish if you fulfill the conditions of the license. If you don’t, you are legally not allowed to use or change it. In this case MG seems to have violated the terms and conditions of that license.

I know, just hope that the day will come when aftermarket OBD coders can fix it. Since MG is currently getting sued in Germany for their software in the MG4, I think there might be a chance the court forces them to publish more details about their software so OBD coder companies can start...
