I drove cars where lane assistant was smooth, subtile and still effective (VW, Renault). I do accept restrictions of my personal freedom that improve safety. But the MG system is just poorly implemented and I doubt that any governmental agency did a proper review.

In the course of the last 1+ year I had several false interventions that could have caused accidents. (like pulling me closer to oncoming traffic on narrow roads). I know this sounds horrible, but I think it reqiures several serious accidents until authorities will start investigating.

I admire your patience, I really do. But there are occasions, where I let family and friends drive my car and then I need to explain to them how to disable and hope they don't forget. I rather put a sticker on the camera, than worry than some sudden yank will trigger overreaction.

I also went for the sticker solution. I found if you cover only a small section of the camera, the Adaptive Cruise Control will still work - otherwise it will be deactivated. (yes, I know ACC is using the Radar, but still it will sometimes be switched off after camera is covered). Did you find...

Sorry, but this is a lame excuse. I love my MG4 but those small glitches like not booting u correctly or not saving the default setting are by no means justified by the price. (By the way, did anyone try the MP3 player on the standard model? No folders, no albums, this is was literally 20 years...

I like the cover solution (not as much as I would like the software to be fixed, but still). Will this interfere with the automatic headlights? Did you use a translucent / blurry sticker, or a black one? Could you post a picture?
