JCSS

I'm a father of 4 and a grandfather of 4 to date.
Living in bonnie Scotland. Retired after many years in supply chain and logistics management. The last 20 years I had my own consultancy services business - happy times - mostly ended up working in mainland Europe. Now it's projects round the house - just finishing a pizza oven build.

I've covered about half of the history of the motor car. Repair and maintenance work I started around the age of 12 on my father's family cars.
My first car was a Triumph Roadster 1949 and in later years I had a second one of these wonderful cars. You may remember them as "the Bergerac car". I restored the second one from chassis up;- new front wings and chassis repairs, reupholstered, carpeted, new hood, and built a new engine to a TR3 specification plus improvements on oil seals and electronic ignition and new wiring harnesses with moder lighting and flashing indicators, (retaining the old flip up trafficators and making the bulb flashing).
Yes I did all the fitting but had professional services for making wings, chassis repairs and upholstery and carpets. It was almost 6 years of projects. I now have a 1968 Jaguar S type 3.4 litres, automatic and power steering. I won't be doing a full strip down and rebuild. I'll overhaul as far as I can and enjoy a few fun trips.
Cheers John
