So what happens now ? Do i assume our cheap tariff now stops . If so will any electric used from today be charged at a flat rate ( or tariff we are moved onto) of whichever supplier we are moved to?? so i might as well charge my car during the day and not in the cheap nightly time.

"The fat lady hasn't sung yet though" . I agree , but i can hear her gargling Lol. I've had just under a year on TE , and have loved the cheap nightly prices for charging and also the cheaper prices for 2 hours ( x2) during the day used for washing machine etc. Where do we go to now i wonder

ACC unavailable, then loss of power.

The only time i have seen all the system messages were unavailable was after i charged the 12v battery up and had removed the negative lead to do this ( as i was getting the dont leave for more than 3 days alert) . To start with it was a bit worrying once i reconnected the battery, but after a...

Installing a dash cam in an MG HS PHEV

Yes you have to take into account the type of dash cam you want. Some want a permanent live feed so that it will record if the car is hit even at night. The OBD adapters have a switch that changes mode from 24 hour or until 5 mins after the car has turned off, and a battery monitor , so if the...

Installing a dash cam in an MG HS PHEV

If you don't want the mess of finding and actually getting to the fuses then i used a OBD power cable .. Search for OBD Power Cable for Dash Camera 24 Hours and you will find them . Simply put it in the OBD port ( below the steering wheel) connect to you dash cam ..away you go ..simple and easy.

    Car electrical issues

It's a known issue by MG ..see thread Door mirrors and windows issue..help! Basically it's a control unit problem and it needs changing from what the thread says. You do not need to pay anyone to diagnose it. The dealer should be dealing with it under warranty.

    Safe charging...TESLA

The HS phev only charges on AC only. Onboard it only has a 3.6 KW charger , so if its a tesla AC charging point ( 7kw or 22 KW) then it will charge from it at 3.6KW

Information on switching between battery and ICE power

Hi Bob one thing to remember is that if you have not selected EV only mode on ( EV button by the gear stick) then at 24mph it automatically starts the ICE( or if the heater is on , as it needs the heat from the ICE to work , like a normal ICE car) If you do a long journey in ICE then when you...

    Octopus Electroverse Charge Card

Well that's one person's view, mine is different, I love my phev. It suits the way I use it, lots on EV only ,and the few times I drive a long way , fill up and go. I am prepared for the "hit" of having to lug around the engine you are not using at the time but it's worth it for me ( not for...

    Octopus Electroverse Charge Card

yes got a card through the post from octopus ( without actually asking for one) myself and trying to work out if its really usable for my PHEV as the cost on 7kw chargers are quite high at the moment. I work it out in a simple way ( not saying this is right or wrong) , and i use the figure of 35...
