    Long range ZS

I agree. I have an MG5 and prefer it just because of the range - if the ZS has that much extra, I'll jump ship....

    Charger Install Ripoff

I'm at the same stage - except I can't find anyone remotely local to do the work. I might go a different route (32A commando plug)

What do you value most in your EV?

I have an MG5 Excite and love it - I had the opportunity to drive around in a ZS for a few weeks and would admit that it was comfy to drive but I have found that it is much easier to get high efficiency driving out of the MG5 (about 4.5+ in this warm weather - smaller cross-section through the...

Doorlocks with a life of their own

Well, that's the end of the saga - fixed. It was a bent pin on a connector. Too many potholes made it worse.....

Doorlocks with a life of their own

No fix yet - it's not something they have come across before. I thought that myself but the Excite doesn't seem to have much in the way of software. I'm staying out of it and letting the garage go through it (with MG telling them what to do)

Doorlocks with a life of their own

I have just been offered a ZS EV as a courtesy car, so I think that is good of them and I can compare the 2. Range vs toys Already the difference is noticeable - MG5 acceleration is better, ZS cruise control is fidgety but the adaptive cruise is useful. (Comparing MG5 Excite with ZS Exclusive)...

Doorlocks with a life of their own

It is still at MG but I'll suggest it to them, see what they say. Thanks

Doorlocks with a life of their own

It is being checked by the local MG place but they are getting nowhere - I'll try that internal lock button with the window open and all the doors shut. Fingers crossed it turns out really simple

Doorlocks with a life of their own

I have a problem with my doorlocks on my MG5 Excite. When I have been for a drive and park up and switch off, the passenger doors stay locked but the drivers door and tailgate are unlocked. When I lock the car using the key remote, the drivers door locks and the passenger doors unlock - when the...

What car did you replace with your MG?

I had a Mercedes CL500 (2000/2001) which was fun but getting to the end of it's useful but thirsty life. The MG5 which replaced it (the Excite) is similarly fun at times, just doesn't go stupidly fast! The acceleration is not too dissimilar and some of the electronics were similar. The CL500 was...

    Range today

That would work and good karma too

    Range today

That big truck is full when going downhill and empty when going up - that is why it makes more regen than it uses going back up the hill - that's science

MG5 owners only. Post on here what you think of the car.

Uh, so charge it twice a week - unless you meant you drive 270 miles a day. I'm doing about 1200 a month and I don't have overnight home charging - I just had to get used to Zap-Map
