Here I Go Again - Final One For This Year....

Thank you, I hope you too have better times ahead. Yep, that's what's occurring here. No matter what your situation is there's always someone worse off..... you my friend are much worse off than me by the sounds of it, it sounds awful. I hope you can get some respite from your pain over the...

Here I Go Again - Final One For This Year....

I've always believed in this, I don't have any decisions to make, I can't change anything so why stress over it? It's a bit like a roller coaster, once it's setoff you have no control, no decisions, you're just along for the ride, just like me here :)

Here I Go Again - Final One For This Year....

TBH it hasn't bothered me in the slightest, my family however are not taking it so well though. All these things are sent to try us.

Here I Go Again - Final One For This Year....

We moved to Gainsborough and signed up to a great GP practice, over the years it declined terribly and when our GP left it went to the dogs. We moved to another practice 4 years ago and the difference is amazing. If you want an appointment you go via their ASKMYGP system and usually you get a...

Here I Go Again - Final One For This Year....

Well the NHS seem to be on top of their game in Nottingham so I'm very confident in their abilities (as always TBH).

Here I Go Again - Final One For This Year....

Well after a small scare earlier this year with the big C, I'm ending the year with another one. About 6 months ago my arm became really itchy, no big deal but it persisted. I saw my GP and she suggested a moisturiser daily, prescribing a suitable one. I used the cream daily for about 3 months...

Octopus Go Intelligent new 6 hours charging limit

Careful what you say here, you know the Octopus Grass's are around!!!! There are some people on here with house batteries that have an issue with this, when Octopus sets a schedule during the peak times it can drain the house batteries then leaving the house with peak rate for the rest of the day.

Octopus Go Intelligent new 6 hours charging limit

Do you have the option to preheat the battery on the MG4? I have on my i3 and makes a huge difference to pre heat the battery and the car before departure, usually whilst on charge. Safe journey and a very Merry Christmas to you all😊

Octopus Go Intelligent new 6 hours charging limit

It would be so much easier if you could say how many hours of charging you needed and have the option for those hours to be within the 6 hours off peak time, still allowing Octopus to control your wallbox as required. This would avoid people discharging their house batteries etc. .

Octopus Go Intelligent new 6 hours charging limit

This is way too messy I'll stick to the 11:30 to 05:30 slot and run my smart charging in there.

Octopus Go Intelligent new 6 hours charging limit

I'm not sure if you can schedule charging within your MG4, I can on my i3. If you set the schedule 23:30 to 05:30 and leave the Zappi configured linked to IOG with Smart Charging enabled, you can plug in anytime, the Zappi will only respond when the car wants to charge at its scheduled time. The...

"I'm in a bit of a fix at the moment"

Aye, right from the start I have said I want either:- 1) I want in writing from MG confirmation that my warranty has not been compromised in any way. or, If MG cant or wont confirm this 2) The garage take the car back, settle all of the finance with no detriment to me or my record, return...

"I'm in a bit of a fix at the moment"

A further update: I received a phone call from the group service manager, he said they were having a dreadful time with MGUK and the only way they would consider confirming to me in writing that my warranty was still good is that my car is serviced again with all points covered on the service...

    Tesla Supercharger Issue MG5 LR

There is, here!!!! Many people will research before buying an MG, I for one wont be replacing our MG with another one in September, 2027, I'm heading to Kia, VW or Tesla when the time comes. The dealerships do have an uphill struggle with MG. The whole SAIC operation could be so much better...

Connecting a V2L car to a house as a battery.

Fair enough, not a system I have come across.

Connecting a V2L car to a house as a battery.

Thats fine, if youre not confident, leave well alone. Usually commercial batteries have additional sockets to plug another battery in. I have used these ports plugging the power supply in there. To the system it doesnt know or care what the source of the DC power is, it will simply take current...

Connecting a V2L car to a house as a battery.

It really isnt, a red and a black wire from the power supply plugged into your battery port (where the second battery would connect). Plug the power supply into your car, when the house battery is at say 75% start to increase the voltage out of the power supply until you see 20amps for every 1kW...

Connecting a V2L car to a house as a battery.

How would they know? youre connecting onto DC terminals with a DC supply just the same as a battery Why? It wouldnt work, the switch on surge the inverter would take would trip the power supply.

Connecting a V2L car to a house as a battery.

Hi Paul, I connected to my DIY battery directly onto the DC wires (big black and big red) that go from the inverter to the battery. At this point the 48v DC is being fed into the inverter via the BMS (Battery Management System all batteries have). It's very easy to do and you could just purchase...

"I'm in a bit of a fix at the moment"

Thank you everyone for your valued input. Some great advice and suggestions on here and hopefully it will forewarn others of how it can go wrong despite best efforts. Whilst some people may think I'm blowing this up out of all proportion - "the garage have told me it's ok" I only get to find...
