    Map Updates

After another enquiry of MG CS, they have come back, yet again, recommending I use a third party map via IPhone or Android as it will be more up to date! Referring to the inbuilt map, they say updates are via NaviExtras, although there is no reference to the ‘Hybrid’ on their site. Also...

MG ZS HYBRID+ Gets Fix After Acceleration Issue Exposed by CarSauce

whilst on a slightly different tack relating to ‘software’, the mapping in my MG3 Trophy Hybrid+ is now 12 months old. Having had earlier 3’s, I have always updated maps on purchase. I have now spent the last 6 months mailing the MG CST, and am now advised that there are no current plans to...

    MG3 Hybrid.NOT SO GOOD !. 😡

Yes, there are a few problems with the MG3 hybrid, but fortunately, from my point of view are annoying, rather than (hopefully not) serious. Yes, the speed limit problem has shown itself and on occasions, there is an electronic ‘pop’ from the speakers. Another problem that is become more...

Who has the most mileage on the MG3 Hybrid?

I keep records of petrol consumption so the following are for 2450 miles since September - mainly around the house type use. 8.7L per 100k. Certainly a drop in economy in the cold weather. For UK, it works out at 52.25mpg

    Map Updates

Naviextras is only for pre 2024 cars, the current versions of the MG3 and I expect other new cars will use a different map supplier. As previously mentioned, certainly for the MG3 Hybrid+, the software is not yet installed to allow for updates!

    Map Updates

CUSTOMER SERVICES has ignored my latest request for an update on the software needed to update the maps on my ‘3’ Hybrid+ - no change there then! One interesting item I have come across, however, is that ‘modern’ MG’s are able to use “what3words” for the destination. Still got to try, bit...

    Map Updates

Following various emails with MG UK, it seems they have moved away from NaviExtras. I am told the software in my 3 Hybrid will need to be updated to allow updates to be loaded. As yet no timescale has been given.

Updating the Australian MG ZS EV Sat Nav maps.

Here again it seems various new models were launched with incomplete software, my MG3 Hybrid is 4 months old and also has outdated maps. After several emails to MG UK I finally was told that a software update will be rolled out sometime in the future. In the meantime, I use Waze or AmiGO, via...

Which is best to use the built in MG Navigation or Android Auto

Most apps work from phone, many already mentioned. I found the built in mapping system is good, although a bit ‘clunky’, but already out of date, a problem not found with Google etc. Do not hold your breath for the software update to enable you to bring the mapping up-to-date. Last report is...

    Map Updates

Was told would possibly be done at service. Latest mail from MG CS thrown a spanner in works, as they mention that a ‘free’ update would be down to Naviextras (?). I am losing faith in the CS team so have requested clarification with the intention of going higher in the organisation if...

    Map Updates

My MG3-Hybrid+, now 6 weeks old, has mapping dated 2023 & Feb 2024. It works well but obviously outdated. It is not NaviExtras (thankfully) and after many mails to Customer Services, was finally given the correct detail, only to find the required software is not installed in the car to allow...

    Map Updates

I believe the Hybrid+ was launched in Australia in 2023, but even so, a Customer Service Team should know, I have given them about 3 weeks to find out!

    Map Updates

Has anyone managed to update their maps in a MG3 Hybrid+. MG Customer Services don't appear to know how! My car qualifies for a free map update, but I cannot take advantage (the existing is out of date)
