    Agreed if you read the MG warranty it isn't a cover for every thing. Good luck. A home charge point gets you 7p /kW power from Octopus. That costs c £1k. Payback if about 2 years.

    What are the settings on the battery screen? If the max charge is set at say 80 and you are at 90%, a type 2 won't charge as the onboard charger shuts off. The tethered type are higher power and the charger station not the car controls the charging by passing any limits on the battery settings.

    I would remove the connector , spray with connector cleaner and then AFC50 and replace.

    Yes a very good year and with the ev night rate of 7p I am exporting far more. I fill the batteries at night. Since May Octopus have been paying me on my dual utility usage.

    I'm not resetting my trip for exactly this reason. I know in winter it will be too high & summer too low. I chart the actuals and the weighted avg based on miles driven. Just like a car fuel gauge I start looking to top up at aroud 25%
