    X Power First Service.

It’s worth ringing MG assist and checking you still have AA cover about a week after the service as you have paid for this 👍

    Tomato Energy

I have to admit I have recently jumped ship back to Octopus Go. I had a £40 credit on my account with them as they never billed my final bill when switching to Tomato. All went seamlessly and straight onto the EV tariff within two days. My concern with Tomato was that should the worse ever...

    Cars you’ve smoked ?

As Mat Watson said on his YouTube CarWow review :- "The performance is just absolutely unbelievable going around the corner nothing anywhere near this price point can do that, nothing, it's nuts but is it fun - well do you know what that kind of instant acceleration could never get boring in...

    Moving to the S5 section!

Congrats on your switch and I agree this forum is fantastic for learning so many things about our cars. Probably the best car forum I've been on 👍

Met a new MG4 owner today at the Charging Station.

I have to agree. I have met the the most friendly, chatty and helpful people at public charging stations. It usually starts with "I would'nt use that one .... or some other tip .... and then we chat about the car and themselves 😊👍. All very civilised and friendly.

    MG IM5 information & reviews

I've not seen that myself and if it happens it will probably only apply to new developments and then any subsequent planning applications that include parking spaces. I would'nt hold your breath for a quick change !! 😊

    MG IM5 information & reviews

Good Spot, it's a bit more for a 2 year lease (£397) and there's no info on colour options/ costs but ranks 9.1 out of 10 on Leasing.com which is good value IMHO 👍 VIP Gateway are the broker btw...

    MG IM5 information & reviews

There's retail list prices and then there's personal lease prices. Sometimes there is a huge disconnect 😉 The equivalent Xpower lease deal at the time of the above ID7 (July 2025) deal is below :- No subscriptions on the VW thankfully and lots of toys 👍 Go figure which I thought was the...

Sounds like the lyrics from a Scooter single too “Move your ass” 😃

    MG IM5 information & reviews

I’ve gone for the ID7 - great range, great 2 year lease deal, German built, good software and a good local trusted dealer I know well. Warranty issues dealt with without question 🙂. Suits my needs better these days too with lots of longer distance motorway journeys . It will cost me far less...

Impressed by the range and mls/kWh

With newer EVs having longer and longer ranges I wonder if the demand for public charging may eventually plateau and then fall slowly after EV adoption has reached its peak ? Take my example - my new EV coming next week (an ID7) has enough range to mean I will hardly ever have to public charge...

Impressed by the range and mls/kWh

Well I've learnt something new today .... as I never knew that !! 😊👍 Even my 3.0 mls/kwh looks good at 120mpg with all that performance on tap 🤣😉

    Cars you’ve smoked ?

oooh naughty boy @salty 😉 and haha yes, after getting a speed awareness course last year for speeding on the A1 (mobile van on an overbridge) I tend to bottle it early these days too 😣. The best fun for me now is the traffic lights grand prix where the Xpower excels, or exiting roundabouts...

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

Short and Sweet this time !! As discussed previously this was via the Financial Ombudsman. Quote from @case dismissed on Facebook "MG4 X-Power Vibration Complaints" group :- Xpower rejected "Final Decision is now with me Car is not of Satisfactory quality and the XPower has the "fault" not...

Goodbye to my MG4, a cautionary tale

^^^^ Even more so now that EV’s are subject to VED tax. I know the MG4 is under the £40,000 luxury threshold but many EV’s aren’t and people forget that the lease company pay all the VED which would be over £400 a year alone for a PCP owner of that Polestar 4 I linked to above.
