My 22 plate pre facelift MG5 (in blue) needs a new rear bumper following a low speed collision. Does anyone have any experience of how long the wait for the part is?

That sounds good, it suggests it is at least on board ship, as the voyage takes 4 weeks, possibly its even in the country, mine turned out to have arrived at Portbury 3 weeks before it reached the dealership. #teamblue.

My dealership had a delivery of vehicles yesterday. The labels were still on them when I went to see mine today. They were labeled Shanghai to Bristol on the Viking Sea, which docked at Portbury on 11th Feb. So took nearly a month to arrive at the dealership.

Since ordering mine in October I've been watching out for MGs, but so far I've only seen 3 MG5s. The first was a red one on the M4 near Bristol on Boxing day. A few weeks ago there was a black one on my estate, but I've not seen it again. Yesterday on my commute to work I saw a Silver one...

It looks like my car may well have been on the Sunlight Ace - had an update from the dealer today, car is going through the import and registration process, will be delivered to the dealership early next week. (Ordered mid October - MG5 LR in Blue). Hope there's good news for some others on...

I'm also hoping mine's on the Sunlight Ace. I would think the Grand Pioneer is unlikely as MG generally use Portbury.

Portbury definitely has Ro-Ro capability. Although the recent BBC documentary implied that unloading 411 vehicles from a RoRo ship in one staff shift was a lot which I thought was disappointing as I would have expected them to be able to unload a lot more.

The Sunlight Ace is due into Portbury on Sunday 27th and has come from China, I believe its currently in the Suez Canal. None of the other vehicle carriers due into Portbury this week have come from China as far as I can tell.

Just been told by my dealer that my MG5, ordered October & told then late Feb, is on board ship and due in to the country first week of March.

Ro-ro loading is supposed to be fast and efficient, so hopefully 12 hours is plenty of time to load a good number of MGs. I'm not chasing my dealer at the moment as stuck at home with the virus, so would struggle to organise the sale of my ICE. Gives me time to ship track though. The Viking...

Yes, but their website shows which ships are docking at Portbury and which at Avonmouth. Looks like the Guardian Highway is heading in to port now having missed last nights high tide. It is a vehicle carrier which has come from the East. Looks like the journey from China takes around 4 weeks...

Looking at the Bristol Port website there are far more ships in and out than make their twitter account. Several car carriers this week and last week, hopefully some were/are carrying MGs.
