Would be interested to know if those fires are in proportion to the number of EV in each area. Also, I wonder if that includes scooters which I would assume are more prone to problems, especially some of the cheaper imports?
I parked at Manchester Airport last year for 3.5 weeks in late September/early October. No problems on return starting and no noticeable decrease in battery percentage while I was away. I do carry a small lithium booster pack 'just in case' - actually used it yesterday to help an ICE car :)

It's not particularly relevant, but I got misdirected by an in-car satellite navigation system while in Oregon, USA. It told me to turn right, and I found myself in a ghost town—absolutely bizarre!!
OK, so I hope I can close off this thread. I got my car back today (Sept 5th), and all seems well.
They have replaced the EVCC (part number 11505199) and the HV&LV CCU (part number 11473414) and then charged the car to 80% overnight and did a top-up in the day to 100% Not surprisingly the car...
No question is daft! They have checked the 12V battery and they are not sure if it is charging properly from the main drive battery, but have fully recharged it. Also Jon (AA man) put a battery pack on the car which should have resolved any issues - albeit temporarily - and it didn't.

Drove car on Saturday 17th for about 200 miles with no problems and put car on charge overnight to recharge from 30% to 100% - another long drive planned on the Sunday. Car started charging overnight...

As my home charger does not actually reach 7 kW (normally around the 6.5 kW) this would imply that it is acceptable for a balancing charge? What are your thoughts?

I have also had spurious alerts which generally clear on the next restart. Sometimes I pull in and stop/start. Depends where I am on the journey.
