Yes other makes can have issues but this is an MG issue on an MG forum that is being discussed and MGs already questionable aftersales service is being highlighted, Citroen being crap at recalls doesnt really make MG 3 owners feel any less concerned about there cars

You only have to go into the servicing costs thread in the mg4 forum to see there are different costs from varying dealers. And to say the cars are only unsafe if you are in a crash is quite the statement, no one knows what's round the corner! I'm sure a lot of drivers that are involved in...

There are a few points to what you have said. MG servicing costs are obviously not set by MG they can vary from dealer to dealer and for the most part they are making a good profit out of them, certainly on electric cars where it has been pointed out that years 1,3, and 5 are pretty much just...

@Sloucher I meant to ask, has anything been mentioned about the IM models getting OTA updates, you would think that where they are pitching these cars that they would have to be able to, as most competitors do and it saves so much hassle/ time.

As others have said report faults and the dealer gets paid by MG (or they should) The thing is none of the versions are perfect so if yours is working ok then I would leave it alone! All could be cured with OTA but it's never happening as the software is so unstable, people would probably come...

The ombudsman isn't that great, I used them in the past they do tend to take a while to get back to you and then tell you how busy they are. Also at the end of the day it is the manufacturers.that fund them. If you look on trust pilot you will see they have more one star reviews than 5 4 and 3...

I think it's safe to say this generation of MG 4 will not see OTA updates

You normally get a certificate of conformity with the car, I'd be surprised if any members cars were built in August and in their possession now, as they also need shipped from China

It would appear that test was before then as the which website does state August for seat fix. MG has told Euro NCAP that it has committed to improving the design of the seat latch mechanism so it won’t detach in the event of an impact. This applies to all vehicles manufactured from August...
