There is no way Octopus can monitor where the electricity is going within the schedule time slots, the can only control the on/off functions of the Evse.
This is how people are able to play the systems and switch on heavy use appliances during the same period of time, i have been guilty of this...
As far as I’m aware for Octopus intelligent go to work it’s as to be used with a compatible EV or a compatible charger.
I have 2 MGs an MG4SE and an MG5 FL neither of which are compatible but I use a myenergi Zappi charger which is compatible with igo.
The T/Cs of igo say you must plug the EV...
Right further more on servicing cost after my post at #13 so the other day I had the wife’s MG4 in for service as part of the service plan we had taken on 3 years ago so the plan included 3 annual services and in that time it as done a touch over 10,000 miles so now we are at the end of that...
I think you may have been better off with a service plan because looking at your cost of £153 for a service For one service =£459 for 3 of them over 3years.
I took out a service plan with my dealer when we purchased the MG4 on a monthly DD and the total cost for 3years as been £332 we have had...
In my 60 plus years off driving many types of vehicles with 2 wheels or many more the question that has popped up every time I have come to purchase or renew my insurance is would you like the cover to be,
Fully Comprehensive insurance
Third party FIRE and theft
Or third party only sir.
All...
Well done great job, I totally agree and have been saying for the past 2 years or more MG have been totally unfair on this issue with the owners. When it was first raised a couple of years back when Tesla opened up some of there network, MG was to do the updates for free and in fact Chorley MG...
I assumed you knew that the 12 volt battery gets its charge from the main HV battery which is why I said in my post #528 when I leave my car at an airport or anywhere for an extended length of time I like the HV battery to be at a reasonable level of charge as while the car is sitting there...
I have left my MG5 several times at airport car parks once for 17 days in my 5 years of ownership of two different 5s with no issues I always make sure the HV battery has a decent amount of charge around 70% and I don’t think that dropped by more than 2%
But as pointed out above a booster pack...
Best bet to avoid this happening is to slow down a bit on uneven roads especially as you seem to know the road and it’s dips and bumps well anyway just reduce you speed yeh. I hope it doesn’t cost you to much to put right but I’m sure the cost will remind you to slow down a bit.

When you turn off the car in the screen menu and you are staying in the car waiting for someone: to restart the car, just press the brake. No need to get out lock and unlock as you say, press the brake and it powers up again. Hope this helps.

As pointed out above by Gomev the warranty of 7 years on MG cars is very limited so a battery state of heath report and a general check around the rest of the car if it is as it should be it looks a bit of a steal for a facelifted MG5

Yes see my pictures #45 they chip in the middle of the wheel not on the edge bit strange.
But the very annoying thing still remains this should not be happening to paint or lacquer which ever it is.
