Hi billdunstew it was with disappointment and then anger after reading about the insurance cost for the MG5 which today will be worth around £12-15000 you might well be 86 but I shall assume with many years of driving experience behind you. it is very annoying what todays insurance companies are...
Up to date list of Tesla Superchargers open to all in the UK.
The following sites are available for all EV owners; 45 now in total with compatible vehicles.
Tesla membership is £8:99 a month or £90 per year. This gives you the same price as Tesla owners, at around 33p per kWh.

Not doing badly at all when you consider it not being treated that well and does a lot of Rapid charging. As we know battery SoH 92% is fantastic. There a few taxi drivers around here who swear by them.

Well as far as I know no PFL 5s had the 11kW capability, but I don’t think that as anything to do with it as several PFL have had the updates and work.
My FL trophy model does have it and it's quite easy to check by looking at the charging socket you will see only 3 live pins on 6.6kW single...
Yes they at times considerably cheaper by
30-50p per kWh. But it's not only about cost it’s also about reliability and availability as more open up and my gripe about this issue was the fact MG5 owners where being supplied with a vehicle that was unable to be used on any charging point that is...
Hi Archev this is what I was trying to establish with a vote is it the years 21-22 for the first PFL cars I read your post in the other thread about the £800 your dealer has said so is there some differences I suppose it’s possible
And I agree with your comments above.

Hi Jomarkh
Well I tried both of mine cars a PFL SR nothing happened and no problems
Now on my FL trophy one when I at first tried that one it would not charge but should have I contacted MG UK and Mr Smarts reply was no MG can use Tesla units which I knew was a load of rubbish that’s when I...
Ok Alb I’m sorry I messed it you I was trying to establish which cars where creating a issue in the other thread about super charging on Tesla sites you can move the whole thing into that if you like I have no idea how to

Here what I was trying to do above but obviously got it wrong
Tesla Supercharger MG5
It appears there is a lot of confusion about the ability for the MG5 LR to have an update installed to enable the vehicle to be charged on open to all Tesla superchargers so I thought it might be good to to...
Well Rooney what you have been told is wrong and if you look back in this thread you will read several owners have had the pre FL car update free of charge so if they are not doing it for you all I can suggest is try a different dealer in you area or EMail MG and explain to them what you have...
I agree or the long range earlier models for that matter but I don’t think the earlier model Standard range 51 kWh can be updated maybe a different EVCC but I don’t know that for certain but the dealers should so ask as there’s nothing to lose.
Les
If you go back up thread to #546 you will find there all the information you need My car is a FL MG5 and had an EVCC update and now works on open to all Tesla Superchargers
Les
Hi again all concerned in this thread so this is a follow up to my post #559.
On my return journey from SE London 230 miles, I decided I would sample a couple more Tesla Superchargers, so I stopped at Banbury just off the M40 as I had tried these ones before my update was done with no success...
