Does the battery heater need to be used in cold conditions when charging at home or is it only for when rapid charging? New to all this EV stuff so just learning.

Good writeup. One thing i don't understand is if the "battery heater" used so much range why bother with? Surely it means less time at a charger as you have more range if you don't bother with it
