I'll be sure to ost thoughts on range efficiency and such like, but initial reasons for change were:
1) Slightly bigger all round.
2) Better rear room.
3) Wife and I find it easier to get in and certainly out of it.
4) Love the front layout
5) Love the higher driving position.
6) Better size...
Hello to everyone on this part of the forum.
My new S5 is at the dealership after a decent deal negotiated but a bit of a wait endured.
I'm upgrading from the MG4 to the S5, so have been on the MG4 forum for around 18 months.
Looking forward to reading previous threads and picking up tips as I...
Good evening to everyone.
I'm collecting my S5 next Monday - all very exciting and looking forward to seeing how it all goes.
I shall be concentrating my activities for a while on the S5 part of the forum, but will always be looking at the MG4 forum to help where possible.
It's a time to...
Folk queuing, jostling and arguing in a petrol station would just not get this!!
I've found I'm chatting to folk I've never met before at charging stations, sharing tips and any frustrations - mostly how to get the chargers to work if there's a newbie at the charger!
The whole thing is just so...
Agree with many of the suggestions here....
I'd like to see my phone connection permanent, rather than having to connect just about every other journey.
I'd like to see paint sticks available for maintaining the inevitable stone chip syndrome.
Far greater awareness of the 'service mode' so that...
If you go the EV tariff route eventually, I can thoroughly recommend the Octopus Intelligent Go package.
Hope you get the charger installed soon. Be prepared to save a bucket load of money!
I charged my car whilst surrounded by three separate thunder storms, with loads of lightening around….
Perfectly safe.
As for rain, the whole system is waterproof and sealed when charging. I’ve charged in heavy rain perfectly safely without the need for any protective cover.
May have been...
I was reading earlier posts on this thread, and the inadvertant operation of the tailgate whilst exploring screens whikst stationery cropped up. What do I need to look out for to avoid accidental tailgate operation?
I get that there's the dosie-doe foot operation externally, and am grateful...
Valid point when placed in the context of time. Good video!!
However, on the motorway, 70 rather than 65 gets me past the lorries a little brisker, and I’m vaguely less likely to be cut up by other road users changing lanes aggressively.
I agree it’s a small almost worthless difference...
This is very encouraging news….
I’ve just ordered a Troohy S5….
On the test drive, I felt that the S5 didn't leak miles at 70 the way my MG4 does. Which means I drive at 65 in the MG4 on motorways which has been no big deal, but even then I struggle to make a 230 mike round trip without a...
I’m quite certain that MG are aware of the negative equity issues, but I think it’s also an attempt to get the S5 out there on the roads. Relevant also is that the level of finance support from MG is only available for cars registered this month for the new ‘75 plate.
And yes, I’m pleased with...
At the dealership today, I did ask about range and throttle response.
Comfort mode…..throttle response is cut by 20% to reflect comfort driving.
Normal mode has a better throttle response with no impact on range - same as Comfort mode. So it appears that the throttle alone is tailored -20% in...
Job done!
Car ordered!
Trophy in Picadilly Blue.
Deal bettered the parameters I had set for myself, but in a nutshell, the dealership have negotiated with MG some extra funding to off-set the negative equity. I had two offers….a 0% finance with the vehicle priced at 32k or a 6.9% package with...
