    Range - 80%

If I remember correctly, you get a warning at either 30 or 40 remaining miles. After this it will start to drop fairly quickly. I am not a person who charges on the move tbh, but personally I would be giving it some thought at about 50 miles remaining myself. Best to build in a bit of redundancy...

    The great rear brakes con....

I do totally agree with this statement, but the rust / corrosion does play its evil part as well. As the face deteriorates even more, parts of that surface of the discs, starts to get pushed up and then gets impacted into the face material of the pads, then when the disc passes through the pads...

    Range - 80%

Why ?. If you reset the trips, charge to 80% and recheck inside the car, you should have a predicted range of around 220 ish miles on a S5. There you go !. Normal service as been resumed, did you check it in your P.J’s by any chance 🤣👍. You have cleared the historic data in the car now and it...

    Parasitic drain on 12V battery

I agree !. We have no idea why they decided to omit the 12 volt battery status on the vehicle check in the App for the S5 ?. It was on the both models of the ZS EV. They must have a lot of misplaced trust in them batteries that they are fitting, that’s for sure !. We can only hope that they...

    Range - 80%

You are correct, you should be seeing around 215 - 220 miles of predicted range at 80% SOC ( state of charge ). You DON’T have a problem, what you have is a predicted ( that is the key word here ) range of 175 miles, based on your previous journeys, driving style and HVAC use etc. The car stores...

    Clocks going back to GMT

Our S5 never automatically reset the time clock either, I only spotted it a few days ago, when I came to use the car. It was extremely easy to just enter the settings screen and then manually correct it in less than a minute. Okay - My IPhone did it automatically itself which is great, but...

    Parasitic drain on 12V battery

This has been brought up on other threads, why the 12V battery status is not cover on the vehicle check in the App is a complete mystery to everybody I think. Being able to keep an eye on your 12 volt battery condition, is vitally important on EVs I think. It’s not really obvious where the 12...

    Parasitic drain on 12V battery

If you did decide to go for replacement battery yourself, then maybe go for a battery that offers a five year warranty ?. The Bosch / Exide units usually do. This is better than the OEM battery that only comes with a 12 month warranty, which does not hold much faith in the factory batteries at...

    Parasitic drain on 12V battery

Has the dealer or MG themselves given you a car to use ?.

    Parasitic drain on 12V battery

Surely for there on peace of mind, you think they would just pop on a battery from another car for a couple of days ?. Takes less than 5 minutes and has no cost associated to it.

    Parasitic drain on 12V battery

Oh….. Interesting 🤔. Could these two problems be liked in some way ?. The boot has an electric latching system and has powered opening ?. Of course, they have replaced the 12 volt with another one to be 100% sure it’s not the battery itself ???!?.

    Parasitic drain on 12V battery

It goes without saying that you don't have a dash cam etc installed of course ?. The dealer needs to enlist the help of a a good auto electrician, who can locate which system on the car is constantly pulling the draw / drain. This is normally achieved by connecting an amp clamp to one terminal...
