Don’t know if it helped by writing everything down (each day how long charged before failed, kWh added, different leads tried etc) and leaving that in the car.

So my CCU got fitted last week, 10 days from taking it in with a charging issue to being fixed. I took the car home while they were waiting for the part but when it did finally arrive the fitting took a day, pretty painless but annoying, nevertheless.

Good to know. I was also pleasantly surprised with the charging rate I managed to get at a rapid charger, over 300A and 400V going through the cable! First time I’ve had to use them in over a year

Update; My garage has seen one of these issues before so luckily I'm not the first. I wrote all my issues down and left it on the passenger seat, they kept the car for 2 days for "updates", surprise surprise, it didn't work. Ticket sent off to MG who have said it needs a new CCU. Estimating...

Anyone else’s dealer requesting £150 to “investigate” the charging issue? ? They can ask all they like but they’re not getting it!

I read your previous posts with interest. Mine broke a year to the day it was registered as well. I suspect there will be a few more cropping up.

So, as thought, it’s not an issue with the cable as the Tesla one didn’t work either. Currently sitting at an expensive DC charger and it’s working fine. Will try the 3 pin plug later but not holding my breath.

Cheers (y) Luckily I was booked in for a service Monday so I've told them I want this investigating instead. Trying a friend's Tesla cable tonight and then will try the local Aldi charger tomorrow and see if the same thing happens. I feel sorry for people that aren't as tech savvy as this...
