Not in any meaningful sense. I have their registration number, but I doubt the local dealer would even care - they had no idea about software updates for charging or anything like that when I last spoke to them, they just follow the instructions sent in emails by head office.

Our cars were similar, but not enough to be mistaken for one another. Doubt it would work, but I'm a bit glad it's not happening to everyone!

Interesting, hobbles the platform a little, but at least it would allow you to get better metrics off the car when it's unlocked. Maybe even do things like have it automatically start in Eco mode - which is something that bugged me for a long time.

Leaving the park Saturday with the family, I noticed that whenever I clicked my keyfob for our MG, the horn on another in the car park would go off too. I was pressing the lock button, and the other car was already locked. Didn't want to get accused of anything, so didn't try the unlock button...

Sorry to hijack your thread, but once the kinks are ironed out, do you think this will be able to do stuff like turn on the heating or ac remotely? Or start and stop charges remotely? Or is it more monitoring than control?

So the funny thing is that it's only certain brands that aren't working with my car. I've been going to a different 1-3 every day for a while now and it's ones like GridServe that are least likely to work, though they work fine with other cars. Pretty much 90% of working CCS DC chargers are...

As time went on more cables would lock in, so maybe there was a problem with the pin, sadly nothing would still charge it. No DC or AC chargers would charge the car, in the end only my wallbox and my granny chager worked at all. It must be the car, but I'll update once MG have looked at it...

Thank you all for your responses, I got home with 8 miles to spare having turned off everything and driven at 53-55 the whole way behind a lorry. Averaged 5.3 miles per kWh which isn’t too bad! I’ll book it in with mg in the morning, for now it’s charging fine on the driveway.

It locks at home, and it locked on the most recent slow charger but it didn’t get any charge after 30 minutes I can maybe get home. If I get to 5 miles battery left I’ll try this. One of the ccs chargers said there was a communication error from the car end so this may be a solution I’m lucky...
