    Charging Issue

Agreed and that localises any fault to the car or the OP's e-pod+cable. If the car, then dealer has been telling fibs. If the car found is to be ok then that leaves either the e-pod or the OP's separate cable. So either find a proven 32A cable and try that with the e-pod or find a proven EVSE...

    Charging Issue

I thought the same but when I searched the internet I could not find anything about EV charging cables having current-limiting circuits although at the back of my mind I'm sure I remember ready something of the like.

A cautionary tale for MG 4 EV owners

There is an interesting video about the consequences of an unrecognised keyfob battery failure on a 150k Lotus undergoing a review by 'Dadcars'. At

    Charging Issue

Do you have a CT Clamp? Absence of such requires Load Balancing to be Off which is your case. But then you should get full power. From the commissioning document: As @Tig170 said if your CT Clamp is not working and there load balancing s not set then power may be restricted.

    Charging Issue

Further to my post above, this is what my e-pod shows: And if you tap manage My EVs: This sets the e-pod's max charging power. Note I do not have an EV tariff and, dynamic charging switched off, will always charge at Max Charge of 7kW. (The Max Charge button only appears when the car is...

    Charging Issue

All the above plus: What car have you specified in the home pod's settings? That determines what it sets as the maximum power it will supply to the car. Note, in the 9 months I've had my home the MG4 database has changed the names in the MG selection list. Try all of them to see what it thinks...

    MG4 Software Update Thread

As fast as I know SC077 should not alter anything within the infotainment system. My Trophy is on R33 and nothing changed after its SC077 update except the LKA performance.

    MG4 64 with a problem (reverse creep)

After you put your car into Ready Mode check that Autohold has been set by looking at the Car/Safety page. On that page you can power down the car, then when you press the brake to put it into Ready Mode you should see the autohold button move across to the right and turn blue.

    Steering wheel heating

@pjmmk, thanks for the picture. Perhaps you have the option because you have an xpower.

To Update MG4 software or Not?

@Beekay29, after the SC077 update most posters have reported it is much better and are not turning it off. That includes me now after my Trophy's 2nd service a couple of weeks ago.

    Steering wheel heating

I have android v2.0.8 but no steering wheel heating control. There is an icon to the right of the heated seats icons but that's a power button to switch the AC off.

    Compressed Air Generation Anyone?

I heard 'gigawatt-hours' and it seems more applicable because they were discussing energy storage. The Maths is correct based on the numbers used. I can't comment on the numbers without a source but there is an assumption in the figures that energy use is uniform over the day/year whereas Dr...

    USB disk identification failure

I'm sure you've tried the right-hand steering wheel button to change volume/change station or used voice control. (I have a Trophy so don't know the SE's capabilities.

    USB disk identification failure

Have you tried switching to FM and if that works go back to DAB? Have you a usb stick with music (MP3, flac) that you could plug in to see if that works. Sometimes my usb stick will have no sound until I cycle back through the radio; perhaps the reverse works.
