Indeed and I don't know and hope that's not the case. However, one would have thought that if a cell was failing it would fail within the 7 yrs or 80k, then it's still covered by the warranty.

It seems like a very common issue :) However, now that it is fixed I'm very happy with the car. Very different driving experience. I used Waylands MG Oxford.

Written 7th May 2024 Recently bought used MG5 61.1kWh 72 plate with just over 7k miles. I had intermittent Check HV battery coming on the dashboard with the car going into limp mode on three occasions. The car seems to be sorted now but here are the details and symptoms just in case it helps...
