Anyone had the rear disks and pads replaced? Who did you use and how much was it?
Cars been for its two year service and the dealer reckons the rear disks and pads are shot and want ~£500 to replace them!
To close out. It was a small stone between the guard and the bottom of the disk, wasn't even on the braking surface. Managed to get a pen in and flick it out.
Yeah, I think I read your thread it was the no noise in reverse that worried me! I'll give the guard a wiggle when I finish work, at least its not raining I suppose!
Went to go out for an hour this afternoon but the car seems to have developed a light grindy scraping sound when going forward, its worse at full lock and not present in reverse. Its not terribly loud, just a bit worried its running gear. Can't get to the dealer until mid May (!)
Any ideas?
Any one get lower than 2.1 miles/kwh?
It was about 0c last night so had the heating, heated seats, rear demister on and its not been driven for a couple of days so battery would be stone cold. Near worst case conditions.
Used 5% which is about 2.3kwh according to previous calculations
covered...
Ah, that is brilliant and quite true. Even cars which I'd given up servicing kept pestering me. One garage reset the counter on a very old Focus for me very kindly!
