I solved mine, in phone settings under display and brightness, page down. I had Display Zoom set to large Text, once I changed that to standard I could see the tick box and can now log in

no keyboard showing but no tick box either so logon button is not clickable. I even tried to reduce text size in phone settings but its not using those for the logon screen
