If I remember correctly, each dealer have an access to MG CARE to download updates for every car (except new one which is different). And the availability isn't the same for all dealer, I don't know why (maybe they have to follow a course first, or do something).
My dealer get access to R67...
I think you need :
R36 for Bluetooth issues
IPK ECU update for speed recognition
Map update to match with speed recognition
With SWI68 build (UK Trophy or EU Luxury, latest infotainment update (R63 late 2024 + IPK update + map update (23Q4) increase sign recognition accuracy.
That's why I said "log to SIPS like usual" in the first sentence
You can't use SIPS without a VCI connected to OBD port.
So you stat connected to SIPS all along.
Reminder: if an ECU isn't reachable with SIPS, nothing could be done.
Log to SIPS like usual, use "Routine" section on the left and launch FDR and FVCM routine by following instructions, during process, you have to drive on a road with 2 lines and signalisation.
Once calibration is completed, turn down the car and wait for a minute (inside or outside but...
(sorry I was traveling and forgot my mesage in draft)
MY2024 and above are updatable only with dealer because they need SIPS for ECU, FICM and TBOX...
Lastest version for build SWI133 I saw is 1300R36
SWI132 build is SE 2024 (with GPS and rear camera), last version I saw is R43.
Yes, for MY22 and MY23 (V1 and V2) :
For UK SE/SE ER (EU Standard/Comfort, according country for sure), SWI69-29968-1100R40 and above fixed this.
For UK Trophy or EU Luxury, it's build SWI68-29958-1300R67.
You are maybe right, but to be honest, I think EV cars SOH is still a myth for most car manufacturer because most of them buy the battery from a provider and they don't know in real life how each battery aged.
2 identical cars and exact same use, and SOH could be different !
New MG's models moslty needs SIPS for infotainment updates.
EU/UK SWI132 or SWI133 build works with SIPS, no more USB update. But the engineering menu show "USB update", IDK why...
When an update fails, you need to disconnect the car from SIPS, restart the car, and restart the connection to SIPS. Sometimes, you need to reboot the car (or shut it down for a short time or disconnect the 12V battery).
Go slow and it'll be fine.
Yep but more cycles with 51 kWh could be balanced with fewer cycles but bigger battery (64 kWh).
By the way, 1 cycle of LFP is 0.8 cycle of 64 kWh wich mean if you charge your NMC 64 at 80% daily, it's pretty much the same as having a 100% LFP battery
It's the normal screen since R67 for SWI68.
Same with R40 for SWI69.
The message was disturbing: when you drive, it say "please plug to charge..."
Fun fact: it came back with R45 for SWI69
