Yes agreed but on Jan 16th SRP1 said “I got my car on a 4 year PCP. I paid £1200 ish up front for 4 years servicing plus 2 MOT’s at my dealer. Works out at £25 per month”
Therefore it looks as if your dealer might be taking the…….
£25 x 48 months = £1200 which is hardly £1700?
Mind you if the car is on a 4 year PCP, and you hand the car back at the end of the forth year, you don’t need to service and MOT it at the end of the forth year do you?
In reply to “carnoc’s post.
I have a 32A EVDANCE charger from Amazon. It has a 32A “commando” plug, which of course has to be connected to a 32A socket. However, I’ve installed one in the garage, and it all works fine. Charges the car to full in the 5 hour slot.
The other advantage is that...
I have the side step. I ordered a pair from TEMU that said/inferred they would fit. However, after a brief inspection, I could and see that they wouldn't. Once the perma frost has gone I will find my sharp knife and have a go.
Many thanks Noel.
I have been informed that if you pull hard enough the plug can be removed, with no ‘apparent’ damage to the socket. In your circumstance, it might have been worth a try.
Apologies, I previously raised this subject, however, it appears that there was confusion regarding ‘Battery Preconditioning’, and using the iSmart app’s facility to pre-heat the cabin/seats etc.
To reiterate, my question relates to understanding exactly what PRE CONDITIONING THE (traction)...
Hi. I know how to adjust the brightness of the two screens, and that the software has the ability to control the brightness automatically, to account for changes in the external light level.
However, I have a problem at night with the Apple map screen being extremely bright. Does anyone else...
I’m not sure of this, but I suspect the sensor is mounted on the windscreen in the top centre consul. Perhaps covering this with a large towel,or something else, might trick the system into thinking it was dark.. just a thought.
We appear to have digressed, the original post concerned preheating the battery, and the advantages of using this system. I must admit, that I’m still at a loss regarding the preheating process, provided by the iSmart app.
If there is anyone using this system, or is knowledgeable, pros/cons...

For me it’s essential if you’ve got a MG HS PHEV It just works…..
As you have a ZS you are right, but the HS, which is what this forum is about, unfortunately doesn’t. But no matter my driving gloves keep my finger toasty.😉.
I experienced this with my ZX last year. The condensation was in the light strip in the left-hand mirror dealership rectify this within the warranty. so far touchwood there is no sign of any condensation in any of the lights, in my new HS PHEV🤞
Hi Louise. I’m also having trouble deciding exactly what to say.
However, I had my HS PHEV for nearly a month, and I use a device known as a granny charger, mine cost £99 rom Amazon. It plugs into a 13amp socket in my garage, I set it to charge at 10 A maximum which is all you can take from a...
