Our 3 year lease ran out last month and we said Goobye to our car. Anyway, I thought I would share a few thoughts about my experience with it on this forum.
I really like this forum, I have found some very useful and helpful information that has helped along the way with my MG. So Thank you all...
Fortunately, when I bought the car, there was a special campaign from the seller that week. From 3 options I chose a 3 year free service deal. It has had its second now. After its 3rd I plan to get a new car.
Hi I agree, very irritating and annoyingly expensive as well.
I always make sure that the heater is down at 16C. That seems to work, except when starting on these colder days. I am usually able to switch it over to electric after about 1km.
It is a real pain in the butt that you must keep the...
I sometime use Apple maps on my iPhone and it seems to know where all the cameras are, though one or two times it has warned me as I have driven past. Good job I wasn't speeding.
Thanks, I was also wondering what the triangle was. It is a fun car to drive, however the system that recognises speed limit signs is totally useless, especially on illuminated speed limit signs.
I must admit it was very frustrating the first time I visited the gas station. My partner and I struggled for quite a while before we figured it out. At least it makes it more difficult for thieves to steal any petrol even if they have access to an open door. LOL!
But from a usability...
Thanks all for the advice, really appreciate it. Luckily the door was just frozen and not broken which is a big relief. First real snow snow arrived this morning. I have an old garage which is not big enough for the MG. I'll just have to deal with the winter challenges as they arrive.
Hi I tried to defrost the flap door using a hairdryer but no luck. I am starting to think the door is just stuck. Anybody know if there is a manual way of releasing it just to test it. It has been below freezing here for most of the last couple of weeks. Very frustrating! Thanks!
The door to charge my car has frozen. It started last week and I was unable to close it after an overnight charge. Now the door has frozen closed. The temperature here has only been just below freezing, but here in the south of Norway it can drop below -30C even more, though usually between 0...
Thanks for the explanation jem111111. My next car will definitely be 100% electric as there is absolutely no or little future in petrol/diesel driven vehicles.
I knew I was moving and have just bought and moved into a new house, so I did not want to waste any money installing a charger in my...
Is this correct that the car only returns a 3-5 kw charge and not 7 kw? If this is the case then this car is very disappointing. I just installed a 11kw charger today.
I have discovered that when EV mode says 'NO!' it means 'NO!'
There have been times when I left it in EV mode that when started again it remained in EV mode, only to shut off EV mode after about 100 meters, but then under exactly the same conditions it remains in EV mode.
As for the...
My Whovian partner wanted a tardis blue, thank goodness they don't do one :) I have to admit I really like the red and I have had lots of complements about the colour. Obviously I am not objective, but when I see it parked in a car park full of cars I really do like the aesthetics of MG design...
You don't know. Here in Norway most electricity is produced by hydro power. However, Norway is now part of the European grid, so when we are short of electricity because Norway has already sold its clean green supply, we are probably getting the brown pumping out pollution kind.
Until Europe...
