    Rear tyre pressure warning

Would like to know too. I was under the impression the European ones show PSI, UK ones bar and you can't change it, but the OP is in Scotland

MG4 SE LR says 100% charge but only 165 miles shows

About the same - just over 170 miles round trip on boxing day plus a pre-heat, started with 100%, 55% at halfway, got back with 5%, so real world range roughly 180 miles (but driving more carefully on the way back). Bright and cold, outside temp 2 or 3 deg. C. Nearly 3 year old long range...

Little on the outside, large on range

The thing is with custom buttons, is they'd need little displays as well. I'm sure some higher caliber brands will do that at some point, if they don't already. In MG land we'd probably have to make do with a sticker pack! I have already stuck little blue and red dots on the right hand steering...

    Boot wouldn't lock ...... until......

This was mentioned on the news the other day, I can't remember the figure but a quick search suggests about 2/3 of car thefts are from these types of attacks, so definitely worth investing in a metal box. (I seem to remember the news said about 1/3 but either way it's a fair amount)

    MG 4 long range battery

Another possibility is if you drive in lots of short trips rather than one long one, that can shorten the range especially in the cold. The car has to get the interior up to temperature from cold multiple times rather than just once (and possibly the battery). I frequently get 2.something m/kWh...

    Charger suggestion

Well in the end I'm afraid the above was ignored, we stopped at a random service station sooner, due to the need for lunch and a loo break. During all the driving around up there, round and about and on the way back, I tried using the paid version of ABRP. The idea seems really good to let it...

    Post a Pic

North trip (from the South West), photos from Hartlepool and the North York Moors - the rock is one of the Bridestones, very interesting and lovely place.

    2nd service

This video cropped up the other day which mentions there are some EVs you should be doing more regular gearbox oil changes on - doesn't name MGs but then it's an American video and they don't have them over there. Starts around 8:15

    Charger suggestion

Well thanks for the thoughts both, I'll let you know how I get on and post some photos if there's anything worth seeing up North ;-)

    Charger suggestion

222 miles, should just about make it in running on fumes, but might make a quick tea stop at some services also on the way if it looks hairy

Great thanks, there's a nature reserve there too I see

    Charger suggestion

I might be doing a long trip from Bristol to Hartlepool in a while, it's 280 miles so we'll need a charge at some point along the way. Does anyone have any suggestions for a pleasant place to stop? E.g. a park or lake to stretch the legs, or nice cafe or something? Ideally somewhere between...

Yes all very true 🤣 I don't have Facebook, but found elsewhere:

New MG4 EV unveiled in China with semi-solid-state battery potential

I wonder if it might be the relative technological sophistication too, in reportedly a quite tech-savvy market. The MG display feels very old fashioned compared to youtube videos of BYD and other cars, then you have other brands with things like lidar-based self driving, compared to MG's dodgy...
