I think it probably depends on many things, e.g. temperature, the age/health of the battery as well as how well calibrated it is by balance/full charges. It's not as simple as with a petrol tank where you physically have a certain amount of liquid left. So I wouldn't absolutely rely on having X...

Useful thread - I'm definitely going to keep a printout of each service in the glovebox (particularly as the last one was non-MG)

Service done today and by the way I asked them to check the reduction gearbox oil just for my peace of mind as I've read some posts here about some cars being delivered with too little in. The amount was ok but they were shocked at the state of the oil after only 11,000 miles. Lots of metal...
