Looks like I’m stuck on version R63 on my MG4 SE.
When I went to the car, I noticed that the display was still on. It had frozen during the first update attempt, and I had to disconnect the 12V battery.
I tried the update multiple times afterwards – even using the R38 package – but nothing...
I entered Engineering Mode, then went to USB Update > Infotainment ECU. It checked if I was in P (Park), etc. After a reboot, an error appeared.
USB flashdrive FAT32.
Maybe i will try another USB or only the update.zip without the other files?
Do you remember exactly how to roll back from the R63 Luxury/Trophy version to the R40 SE one? Getting into Engineering Mode with the PIN and doing the USB update is a bit different, unfortunately.

Yes. The new MGs registered in 2025 are different from the previous ones. For example, the headliner is light-colored, and the SE now has a rearview camera. The RXX versions will also be different.
I’m referring to EU models, don’t know if there are differences in the UK.
Still waiting for the new software update for the 2025 MG4 SE. It will finally allow the One-Pedal mode to be permanently set, along with other improvements. :)
