It varied. In the south east it wasn't particularly cold, just wet. I generally don't use heating; this was the case on 2 return journeys to Bristol, ditto 2 journeys to Cambridge. 2 return journeys to Eastbourne were different; pouring rain and flooded roads made it necessary to have heating...

Wear on Front Tyres at 5500 miles

I got 30,000 miles from my original Bridgestones on my first SR. Now on 28,000 miles on my Trophy on Maxxis tyres with at least 4mm remaining. I do hypermile though and resist the urge to floor it

This is my figure for September. August was a doozy with just over 4,700 miles covered at an average of 4.1 mi/kWh (can't remember the rest) but it reset itself before I could get a picture.

Low mileage month for me. Next month will be rather different; expect to do 3-4,000 miles!

What Was Your CB Radio "Handle"?

I deeply resented using the Americanisms on the radio. However, it proved mighty useful when driving in convoy on longs trips, especially to Spain and France; no mobile phones in those days. Still use PMR446 equipment from time to time, which is much more convenient. I used to have Midland gear

What Was Your CB Radio "Handle"?

Mine was 'gaoler', back in the day when I had a Cavalier SRi, with different keys for the ignition, both doors and boot. They were so cumbersome to carry around I hung them on a belt clip, hence the name. It didn't seem inappropriate since I was also a criminal solicitor and was often in the...

    1st long trip

I will try and do so, but hope it won't be as challenging as yours. Also, I will post it on the MG5 forum to avoid confusion (and envy) from MG S5 owners
