Im 82 and last year swapped my BMW 5 series for an MG5 LR exclusive- I also rally an MGA and a 1947 TC Impressed with the MG5 very fast and smooth easily beats most petrol cars away from lights !!! very comfortable and can get all my golf gear in the boot had it 12 months and touch wood no problems

A newish battery might survive 3 winter months but as suggested connect a battery trickle charger (one that monitors the battery charge) i hve one for my classic MG
