I believe the drainage holes are an OAU ie it rains, it rusts it drains?.
My 1979 MG Midget was waxoyled from new and underbody remained pristine for the 13 years I had it which is more than could be said for the sills which were replaced twice?
If just referring to Nav then no worries anyway as unlimited (to date) Google maps, Waze etc. presume not referring to OAUs which should/must be for the life of the car.
Early Polestar 2 s had issues so MG not alone. They did though come back with an extended (only 4 years though, not 7) and credit towards fast charging.
No complaints just intrigued they proudly advertise the fact that they are not regenerated ie recycled plastic. Look forward to your review of quality and ease of fitting.
To reassure all this scenario is not unique to the MG4 (Look at any other EV forum). Hopefully a reducing problem across the EV space.
PS Had similar problems but thankfully never had to use the boot release.
