    New HS Hybrid

That would worry me too. I have never seen revs much above 3000 and only then while I was trying out Sport mode. In the UK, the Hybrid+ seems to have surprised a lot of people, with there being hardly any YouTube reviews. MG themselves seem to be a little unprepared for it too, trying to pass it...

    New HS Hybrid

I don't find it loud, as such. I was driving a 13 year old diesel so I find the HS very quiet, but it's impossible to me to know if mine is typical or an outlier. I just got past the 1000 mile point so I have given it a gentle push now and then, to see what it's got; turned on "sport mode" and...

Energy flows in "Vehicle Status" card on dashboard

I asked my wife to try to video the energy flow diagram while I drove. Not the best pictures (cannot see the animated direction of flow) but I think you can see what is going on... Top row (L->R) Battery (bottom block) powering wheels Regen charging battery Engine powering wheels Bottom row...

    MG HS Hybrid +

There is a tiny tunnel hump between the seats in the back, but the potential for rusty metal to be a visible surface on the car is surprising. In the absence of sidesteps there almost needs to be a 2-inch black plastic "skirt" down each side, just for looks.

    MG HS Hybrid +

    Exhaust quite visible.

    MG HS Hybrid +

Cost cutting I assume, but I must say the Hybrid+ is easier/cleaner to get in and out of without the steps.

    MG HS Hybrid +

One thing I have found is that the exhaust is very visible from the side. It's like it is meant to be hidden by the sidesteps, but the Hybrid+ doesn't come with sidesteps, so you just see the exhaust down the length of the car. The brochure and promo materials are careful not to show it. I'll...

Energy flows in "Vehicle Status" card on dashboard

Hiya, you might think that, I did initially, but the blue bar at the bottom of the car diagram is the battery, which fills up left to right as the regen charges it and depletes right to left as the battery drives the wheels. My dealer tried to tell me the middle block represents the "generator"...

Is there a way to link stopping audio playing to turning the car off?

Thanks so much for engaging, I will certainly do that. As I say, it does seem incongruous for a car so well thought out in other regards to not have this covered.

Is there a way to link stopping audio playing to turning the car off?

The HS is the same in that Park applies the hand brake automatically, but the manual for the car (which is really only the PHEV manual) does say you should apply the handbrake before putting the car into Park. Which confuses me slightly. Drifting away from the audio question, a little, but I am...

Energy flows in "Vehicle Status" card on dashboard

What is the circled item in the diagram? Engine at the top, battery at the bottom, box in the middle?

Is there a way to link stopping audio playing to turning the car off?

No. It goes off when you lock the car. The scenario is: 1) you arrive at home with music/radio going, 2) pull up on the drive, 3) switch off the car, 4) open the doors, 5) close the doors, 6) lock the car. I want the audio to stop at 4) ideally, but 3) would be okay too. My 13 year-old...

Is there a way to link stopping audio playing to turning the car off?

In the HS, the right-hand "joystick" on the steering wheel will "pause" the audio when pressed in. I am currently using that.

Is there a way to link stopping audio playing to turning the car off?

In our old Ford, when you had any audio playing, when you got home, the audio would continue playing when you turned the car off, until someone opened a door, then it would automatically cut the audio. In the HS, I would want either the same as above or even just, kill the audio when I turn the...

Why is the choice of Driving Assist = LIM not remembered?

I know the topic of being able to "save" settings of various safety systems is a contentious one, with manufacturers unable to allow safety features to be permanently switched off, meaning they have to be adjusted every trip. Some manufacturers, and even MG on some models offer a shortcut to...
