Taken from the ncap site:
However, the right-side seat adjuster of the driver’s seat failed in the test, causing it to twist halfway through the impact.
New seat subframes ?
Got mine six weeks ago. I'm not in the UK. I spoke to my dealer this afternoon and he'd heard nothing, he was searching on the internet as we spoke, then told me to wait, it's all so fresh that no-one knows anything yet.
So why didn't the seats fail in the other crash tests? Could it have been incorrectly set??? Not quite clicked into it's place? This happens to me and you move off and position yourself in your seat and it clicks into place
From what I've read, it was only the offset crash test that failed.
All the other tests of the other cars, because they don't only test one car, didn't fail !
Let's wait and see what MG do. If there is a fault then I think they will do a recall, but it's going to cost them. Does anyone know how many have been sold around the world?
But the gearbox is only used when you're going over 50 mph ?
The high revs is the engine spinning the generateur to recharge the batteries and give the motor a boost.
Still haven't decided what I really think of the car.
There are things that I just hate. Driving with the front window open is just impossible.
The engine reving when there's not even a reason for the engine to be spinning. Sometimes even when going down a slope.
Hi all,
I must say, I've never had a car that makes so much noise and wind when driving with the front windows open more than a couple of inches, it's horrendous, almost impossible to do. Any idea why it's so bad ?
