Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

Hi @Samo , in short I decided to wait and in fact now have a Hyundai Kona N so slightly different! Partially down to "little things" I didn't like and whilst minor in nature when I added them up decided to wait and see how the next evolution of the model looks. Still do longer trips so needing...

    Scratch and dent insurance

It will always be down to personal preference unless you know you have a very tight driveway or garage access. The last brand new car I bought was VW Golf R estate in 2017 and it was hit whilst parked on its first trip out, then hit by a metal nut on the motorway and scraped a further 2 times...

1100 Miles and in the garage - engine management light

I read in AutoExpress this week that in their driver power survey of new cars, MG came 29th (out of 29). 38% of owners with a car less than 12 months old had reported a fault unfortunately. Obviously this doesn't help you in any way but you are clearly not alone so you would hope MG started...

Thats pretty much the full height of the mirror by the looks, cheers Zman, really appreciate the effort. Thanks.

Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

Just told them I would do business with another dealer, may be nearest for service or repair but can buy anywhere. They don't have a great reputation looking at various forums.

Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

Cheers Moog42, yes not quite sure why you need a light in the mirror to say heater is on, had thought they probably came on automatically with rear window heater assuming temperature is low enough in which case they generally have timers and switch themselves off after a set number of minutes...

Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

I will have a look at that next time I go by the dealers Amason, thanks, it was quite dark and with black on black that may well have passed me by, well spotted.

Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

Simply because relying on the dealer I guess. Dont have a reg no. So cannot fill in the quote form to check for myself. Also have 2 different service plan prices from different dealers so maybe its not just a fixed cost item. Waiting on a phone call that may answer that.

    Mirror assembly blocking drivers view?

Couldn't see how to delete it tbh Zman? Can find edit, but if scrub the text it just says error as no title etc. Thanks

Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

The best deal I have is indeed Chorley Group. Unfortunately its our nearest dealer, near Chester, that we really don't want to deal with which would mean getting it serviced, and fixed if ever needed, elsewhere but quite a distance unfortunately. Next nearest is also part of same dealers...

Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

To be honest HermitDave we never felt welcome from the moment we walked in, despite having an appointment. In the end their figures to change to the HS PHEV were over £8,500 more than I have been offered by a different dealer for exactly the same deal, HS PHEV in Pearl Black with the...

Thinking of buying HS PHEV but need owner advice

Thanks Norhund, you don't get very long on a test drive so I think things that are different tend to register first, used to be able to get 24hr drives from some manufacturers. MG wouldn't even let me take theirs out again today as it was blocked in by other cars. Said I could adjust the seat...

Service Plan UK seems very strangely priced?

Thanks Dragonfly, my local dealer says it is possible its wrong as they have to put a reg number in to get a quote so they used a demo model as I was looking at brand new. Is going to double check as I pointed out the difference between my quote and that from HermitDave for the same thing were...

Service Plan UK seems very strangely priced?

Mine also says the dealer charges £1.20/mth admin fee so there is clearly no discount for signing up, simply a case of spreading the costs. Having had Kia/Hyundai in the past you always got a discount. Doesn't explain the wildly different service pricing though, if anything would have though...
