Just had a call from Dicksons in Inverness. They have the parts for the warped undertray, and must have got clearance to do this under warranty too. They've booked us in for this Friday, when we have to be in Inverness anyway, saving an extra 200 mile round trip. Very happy.

Goth Leo had his first MOT today. Squeaky bum, squeaky bum, squeaky bum...... And he passed! No advisories. The brakes pads were just 20% worn. At the service, they found the dreaded warped undertray, but have already initiated getting it resolved under warranty. Also, some weird error...

Well, we had to come up with some logical reason for the choice one way or another, and that was the only answer I could fish for. :) I really don't know, but I do think that we have to use the heater less in shoulder times,, eg if it's cold out but the sun is shining. I'd be less concerned...

Was that on any charger or specifically a home charger?

I don't know. The story went that the home charger doesn't work when the public chargers do, so I doubt it's a case of trying this and trying that, IF the story is related to cold weather. The most plausible explanation is @gary333 in comment number 15.

Ta. The story was that the charge stopped. and that public slow chargers worked, so it's unlikely to be that scenario.

Oh, your edit is absolutely a possibility. Will ask when next we see the one person who may have leccy heating.

If - if - there is any truth to the stories, it makes me wonder what could be at fault. The only thing I can think of is something like condensation in the charger unit, ie. a poor quality unit. But it sounds like misinformation.

Thanks, yes. These stories allegedly were home chargers. It just doesn't seem likely.

Thanks. I've no idea what the units are. It feels like nonsense. The one person claimed that the car charged fine at the slow public chargers (the chargers are slow, not the public...) when the home charger would not function.
