I'm using V2L to power a coolbox (and other things including an air fryer) while camping (see my other recent thread). Generally working well, except that the V2L output cuts off every time a car door is opened. Getting it restarted means getting into the car (with the key in proximity)...
That sounds interesting, if a little pricey - and quite big? But does it solve the V2L / 12V supply switchover issue?
HaHa! Normally I'd agree with you. But it's over 30 deg here in France and that's a bit warm for any beer.
Thanks for all the other replies. I may be missing something but I...
I'm planning a camping trip with tent etc. I'd hoped to buy a simple 12V coolbox to plug into the car. But now find there's no 12V socket in the boot. I could buy an extension lead and plug it under the dash - but I assume that won't be powered while the car is switched off (e.g. overnight). So...
AFAIK the USB socket only works when the car is switched on. I wanted to charge the phone while I was sleeping in a tent overnight.
also (more importantly!) I'll be wanting to use the V2L more in tey future for other things
I am at a campsite trying to use the V2L cable. I tried it at home when a bought the car a few months ago and it was working fine.
But now, when I use the button 'start discharging" the waiting timer twiddles for a few seconds and then I get a message 'discharge finished'. The car is in ready...
Stopped today for 30 minutes while my other half went into Sainsbury's and I waited in the car. It was 6 degrees outside and I couldn't get the heater to work. Tried all controls - fan was running and temp control on max but only cold air. I even tried turning on the heating from the Android app...
Many of these screenshots show an analogue display of the speed etc. I just have weird graphic circles and a digital number. How do I switch to an analogue speed?
March looking good so far! 3 days, 3 return trips, total 88 miles, average speed 25mph, average temp 10C, averaged 4.7 miles/ kWh. Only managed 3.6 in December (my first month with the car). No data for Jan and Feb as I wasn't able to drive (hip op).
I've done a bit of reseach and it seems that an 11kW EVSE will only provide ~3.5 kW for a single-phase cable. Is that correct? If so I was ill-advised as to what cable to buy by the supplier.
