Yes, just checked the manual and it says:

The front power socket is located in the front of the centre console. When the vehicle is powered on, it can be used as a power supply.
There are 2 USB ports (1 & 2) equipped both sides of the 12V front console...
I wonder why MG does not document this limitation for customers, what's the point of providing a USB-C port when it can't support data and doesn't charge an iPhone!
My MG4-EV LongRange Trophy has same problem! USB-C port doesn't work. Tried different cables, it doesn't recognise my iPhone for CarPlay and don't charge. Seems like it is dead port.
