    Mudflaps!!

Got mine from MGTitan if I remember correctly, I’m sure they all pop out of the same moulds in the same factory, regardless of who ends up selling them

New mg4 off to great start

It is confirmed as at least a partial replacement for the Australian market; https://www.mgevs.com/threads/mg4-in-australia.13438/page-106#post-388774

    MG iSMART app Token Expired

Tends to happen when the app updates sometimes, not sure if there are any other reasons the app would do this.

New mg4 off to great start

It's going to replace all versions that use the 51kWh battery packs here in Australia, and they're dropping the 777 kWh ER from the range. The Trophy (essence) and Xpower stay and will stay with the current model. There have been some rumours about the ER being discontinued in the UK (someone...

    MG4 Frunk now available

@DocMark if you are I can definitely recommend getting the bonnet struts as well, simple install and makes life easier with a frunk

    Granny charging

Yeah if you want to pay for the 15A socket install I would do the same. We are (or should be anyway) finally only months away from moving so I’m just using the 10A socket. Otherwise I would’ve looked into a 15A socket for this place as well.

    Granny charging

I think it should hover around 240v, I don’t know the exact range, but the charger often shows a bit above 240. The charger shows just above 2 kW, but the car (app) shows 1.9kW going into the HV. The official MG granny charger we get here only puts something like 1.5 kW in the HV on 10 amps, I...

MG4 - How do I turn it off..?

I never said it didn’t matter, I just don’t have it as high up on my list of niggles as you, it seems to be the main issue for you.

    Granny charging

There are some chargers on Amazon that will do closer to 2kW on 10amp sockets, and also do 15amp sockets which they claim will go up to 3 or 3.5 kW. I'm using one on a 10 amp socket for the time being and get max 1.9 kW at the car. The next house will have a 15 amp socket in the carport, and...

The error limited the engine's performance

That looks like a trip to the dealer to me. Even if it’s a software bug I wouldn’t risk driving around with a car that throws up the occasional motor fault. I don’t think it’ll kill you, but it might get you stranded somewhere.

MG4 - How do I turn it off..?

that is some shonky statistics though, of course people who are annoyed by the lack of a physical button will be over represented in a thread about the issue. That’s like saying 90% of people in the new tyre thread are looking to replace their tyres. But that says nothing about the majority of...

MG4 - How do I turn it off..?

I wonder what the cost savings are though, if any. Replacing a presumably cheap to make on/off switch with a potentially more expensive pressure switch might not necessarily have been a cost saving. Maybe the cost is comparable but the seat switch is thought to give a higher end feeling...

    ACC

I think some of the UK owners have noted a change in the "drop speed in a corner" behaviour after some system updates, but I wouldn't be able to tell you the versions, and I'm pretty sure our Aussie cars are on their own software branch anyway. (although maybe not in case of the Xpower?)

    MG Software Lawsuit

I mean, if VW group (and others) survived diesel gate, I'm sure SAIC/MG will survive this. Wouldn't be the first time a Chinese company "liberates" some designs or parts of other companies. And whatever it costs, the Chinese government would most likely bail out SAIC, maybe just not publicly.

    Fitting Driving Lights

Apparently the radar sensor is just next to the front facing camera, to the left of it looking at the car like in your picture. Post in thread 'Attaching Rally Plate' Attaching Rally Plate
