New EV driver to be.
Always gone for reliability than flair in a car because I'm boring like that. Amongst my roll call of cars include Nissan Primera, Mercedes 190, Toyota Corolla, Yaris, Honda Accord, Peugeot 406,208, 307, VWGolf, Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra, Ford Mondeo which is the current wheels.

Decided just before the pandemic to treat myself to a Merc or Range Rover but paused due to the Rona.
With things opening back up, I decided to go into the EV market after being warned strongly by a friend to steer clear of the Evoque and Discovery which were on top of my list.

Shortlisted 4 vehicles to test drive. The MG4, ID4, Volvo C40 and Mercedes Eqa.
My first test drive was the ID4 and the Salesperson at dealership when in discussion took liberty to heap a pile of cr*p on the MG4. Promptly struck it off my shortlist. Test drove the Volvo and fell in love, didn't even bother with the EQA test drive and placed an order which was scheduled for delivery in May 23.
The MG dealership is a stonethrow from my work so went in one day and test drove it on my lunch hour and was really impressed for what it was ie MG and cost. It didn't capture my heart from the volvo C40 as that's just on a different level, however it gave me food for thought.

Two months later and with the current economic clime, my head started to win over my heart and I cancelled my Volvo C40 order, placed an order for the Trophy in Camden Grey. Initially had. Black Pearl on order for January delivery but as I have been lurking on here, all the problems have scared me and I decided to deliberately ask for a Spring/Summer delivery to allow MG smooth out the teething issues.

They did scare me enough to almost cancel and revert back to the Volvo C40 but Volvo has also had a few issues and I figure I'd rather deal with issues of a £30k plus car than one of £50k plus so I'm staying put with MG for now.

I hope that sufficiently explains how exactly I hve landed here and I look forward to enjoying being a nemeber of this community as much as I have enjoyed watching from the sidelines.
