The display that was blank was the IPK (Instrument Pack - Drivers Display) not the infotainment screen. The one that is behind the steering wheel.

Yes, i tried locking and unlocking it several times and took the car for a short drive to reduce charge. I have no idea if the state of charge is just a coincidence though. The car drove fine without the IPK being on but I do suspect a lot of the safety features probably were not working.

You are not the only one. SC077 hugely improved LKAand now I don't bother to disable it but like you ACC is still a bit like a learner driver with overly aggressive breaking and acceleration. I do not not trust my local dealer at all so I'm going to try elsewhere and get a front radar...
