All working ok for me in Portsmouth area... What is your mobile coverage like in the area you are parked. This can cause issues. Also sometimes you have to wake the car up by locking and unlocking if the car has been parked for sometime.
Just to update.
The attached process worked for me.
Make sure you download your cars nav upgrade manual. As software version maybe different.
Note you will need to usb stick of 32GB formatted fat32. The file I downloaded from the link within the PDF was 15.1GB and unzipped to over 20GB...

It would be Naviextras regarding navigation map updates and your dealership regarding keeping the Infotainment system up to date.
I have tried the Naviextras option before this post to no avail... so back to more testing...
To be honest I have suffered the same issue with rds traffic and coming from the SR the infotainment whilst better in allot of ways has fallen back when it comes the audio usability. DAB works best for myself along with android auto. Hopefully a software update of the infotainment system will...
search for MG5 1000KM challenge with Bjiorn from the Norway. He suffered the same issue and resolved it by shutting the car off and walking away for thirty minutes...
Issue with handshake causes the BMS to have issues.
No ETA was available :-( But not unexpected with the covid situation in China and the time it has taken to ship stuff.... Got to love just in time economics.... Hopefully these issues will resolve as China starts to behave a little like the rest of world concerning covid
Looks like I join the queue for a new door lock. Must say Richmond MG Portsmouth did provide me with MG ZSEV SE small battery to run around in whilst they carried out their investigations..
Advised door lock is on back order.
