Part of that cost will be due to Import Taxes and VAT. Another part may be the extra bits they have to add on to make the cars complient with EU requirements, which not all Chinese made cars have for the home market.

Yes, but "real world" for most EVs is about 2/3 of the WLTP figure (becaue the WLTP test cycle doesn't reflect driving in the real world) so the actual efficiency figures are not very good, though maybe they are for an MPV.

Range is also adversley affected if you use Pilot, which is apparently why it wasn't installed on the original (now standard range) model..
